Dear Parents/Carers,
We are delighted to announce that Bishop Challoner Catholic College will be taking part in a professional production of 'Born for This'. Our students, together with students from four local Catholic secondary schools, will perform at the prestigious Symphony Hall in Birmingham on Wednesday 25th March 2026.
This is an exceptional and unique opportunity for our students to appear on the stage of one of the finest concert venues in the world. For most, this will truly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience! If you have ever attended a concert at Birmingham Symphony Hall, you will know what an incredible venue it is—not only for its stunning design but also for its world-class acoustics.
We are aiming to form a choir of 40 students. They will be performing together, so no one should feel anxious about singing alone. Rehearsals will take place mainly at Bishop Challoner, but also at St Thomas Aquinas, selected city-centre venues, and at Symphony Hall on the day of the performance. These sessions will involve professional musicians and stage production teams, ensuring a high-quality experience for all involved.
Audience tickets will be available for purchase closer to the date, and we will share further details in due course.
Year 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 students can register their interest by emailing or speaking to Miss Hughes or Mrs Healy. Please encourage your child to make the most of this exciting opportunity.
